Section analytics

Section analytics that show what people actually read.

Scroll depth tells you how far down a page someone went. Sectira tells you what they saw on the way: which sections people reach, which ones they read, which they skip, and where the page loses them.

No card needed. No cookie banner. Set up in a few minutes.

Example reading funnel for a home page. Each section shows how many visitors reach it, how long they read it, and how much more readers convert. Testimonials is reached by 31% of visitors, and its readers convert 2.4 times more.

Example data for a fictional website.

The problem

A scroll depth percentage does not tell you much.

Most analytics tools stop at the page: a view, a bounce, a time on page. Some add a scroll depth figure. It tells you how far down someone went, but not what they saw, and nothing about which part of the page held their attention.

Heatmaps get closer, but they leave you staring at colour and guessing where one section ends and the next begins. Two people can look at the same heatmap and come away with opposite conclusions.

How Sectira helps

Every section, measured on its own.

Sectira finds the sections that make up each page, such as your hero, features, testimonials, pricing and FAQ, and measures each one separately. You see how many visitors reach it, how long they spend reading it and what they click inside it.

Because sections are found automatically, there is nothing to tag and nothing to maintain when you edit a page. New pages and new sections show up in your reports on their own.

Benefits

Content analytics you can act on.

  • Reach for every section

See what share of visitors reaches each section and where the biggest drop-off on the page happens.

  • Read time, not just time on page

Tell the difference between a section people read and one they scroll straight past.

  • Clicks in context

See which buttons and links inside each section get clicked, next to how many people saw them.

  • Nothing to tag

Sections are found for you on every page, including the pages you publish next month.

What is section analytics?
Section analytics measures each part of a page on its own, rather than the page as a whole. Instead of one scroll depth number, you see how many visitors reached your hero, features, testimonials, pricing and FAQ, how long they read each one and what they clicked.
How is this different from scroll depth tracking?
Scroll depth tells you how far down a page someone went, as a percentage. Section analytics tells you what was there: which sections people reached, which they read and which they skipped. It is the difference between knowing that most visitors scroll halfway and knowing that most visitors never see your testimonials.
Do I need to tag or mark up my sections?
No. Sectira finds the sections of each page automatically, so there is no tagging and nothing to update when you change a page.
Does it work on single-page apps?
Yes. Route changes count as page views, and the sections are measured on every view, so frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt and Astro work as expected.
Does section analytics need cookies?
No. Sectira sets no cookies by default and stores nothing in visitors' browsers, so for most websites no cookie banner is needed for it.
Which plans include section analytics?
Both Pro and Premium include scroll depth, how far people read each section and which sections make visitors convert. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial of Pro, with no card needed.
