Set up conversion goals
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Tell Sectira what counts as a conversion on your website, and optionally what each one is worth.
What goals do
A goal is an action you care about, such as a sign-up, a demo request or a purchase. Once you add goals on the Goals page, reports show which pages, sections and sources lead to them.
Goal types
- Went to the app: a click that takes the visitor to another subdomain of your site, such as
app.example.com. - Clicked a link or button: a click on a link or button whose text or URL matches what you enter. Matching ignores upper and lower case, and you can use a regular expression.
- Visited a page: a page view whose path matches what you enter, such as
/thank-you. - Custom event: an event with the name you choose, sent from your own code.
Give a goal a worth
Each goal has an optional Worth: what one conversion is worth to you. A demo request might be worth 500, for example. Worth values count as revenue when your website doesn't send real purchases. See revenue tracking.
Goal ideas
Not sure where to start? The Goals page has a Goal ideas list of common conversions. Click one to add it, then save.
