Getting started with Sectira

Sign in and open app.sectira.com/sites. Choose Add website and type your domain, for example example.com.

Sectira looks up your domain's DNS, hosting and website platform, then shows the exact install steps for your setup on the Setup & install page.

The Setup & install page shows a one-line tag that already contains your site ID. Paste it inside the <head> of every page, then publish your site.

Most website builders have one place for code that goes on every page. The install guides list where it is on each platform.

There is no verify button. Keep the Setup & install page open and visit your website in another tab: the page detects the first visit on its own and shows that the tag is working.

To prove you own the domain, add a TXT record named _sectira at your DNS provider with the value shown on the Setup & install page. Sectira checks for it and marks the domain as verified.

Some ad blockers stop analytics tags from loading. You can add a CNAME record for a subdomain of your own, such as stats.example.com, so the tag loads from your domain and fewer visits are dropped. The exact record is on the Setup & install page.
